I’m a journalist. I’m an illustrator. And I’m appalled.
The horrific massacre on the news floor of Charlie Hebdo is an assault on everything I strongly believe in: the freedom of art and expression, the access to knowledge and information and our human need for humor and laughter.
All barbarians with a total lack of a broader perspective should realize the pen will always be mightier than the sword. And love and respect will prevail.
My thoughts are with all family and friends of the victims. May their courage and creativity inspire us.
