Delta Flume: ‘world’s biggest manmade wave’
The Deltaflume built by Deltares in Delft, The Netherlands is a unique facility to test at full scale the effect of extreme waves on dikes, dunes or breakwaters. The Delta Flume (300 metres long, 9.5 metres deep and 5 metres wide) is a versatile, indispensable facility that can be used for numerous projects. The 10-metre-high wave board generates waves up to 4.5 meters. Vizualism animated the Delta Flume and designed the infographics for their corporate magazine.
